Rogers customers dealing with nationwide network outage

Rogers customers across the country woke up Friday morning with no internet, T.V., home phone or wireless services.

The network outage, which began just before 5 a.m., appears to be nationwide. As of 7 a.m. the company had yet to comment on the problem.

Many businesses who rely on Rogers have reported their Debit services are down as a result of the outage.

Angry customers have taken to social media to voice their frustration.

“I love that Rogers is having a nationwide outage with no estimate on when it’ll be up and running,” tweeted one Rogers customer.

Another displeased customer wrote “I guess Rogers can’t access the internet to update their customers that they’re having a nationwide outage.”

Downdetector Canada, a website that tracks technology failures, was the first to confirm the outage.

At this point there is no indication when service will be restored.
