Today’s the day for long-suffering Habs fans: round one of the 2022 NHL Draft goes down Thursday night at the Bell Centre at 7 p.m. (Sportsnet, TVA Sports).

The Montreal Canadiens have two picks: 1st overall and 26th, previously acquired from the Calgary Flames in the Tyler Toffoli trade.

Montreal is expected to select one of Shane Wright, Juraj Slafkovsky and Logan Cooley in the top spot.

There could also be fireworks on the trade front. Are the Canadiens on the hunt for another first rounder? Will they be shopping some of their later picks?
