Robbie Williams has boasted he was ‘well up’ for posing naked on the raunchy cover for his upcoming album, XXV, which will drop in September.

Hoping his risqué antics won’t dampen his chances at a knighthood, the singer, 48, went on to declare: ‘Sir Robbie would be great.’

Clearly not one to wait around, he told The Daily Star he ‘couldn’t be a***d’ to wait around to be awarded an OBE and CBE beforehand.

Wow! He boasted he was 'well up' for posing naked on his new album XXV's raunchy cover as he revealed how he 'hates' creating music videos for the hits due to them being really 'boring'

He said: ‘But do you have to get an OBE before that? Because I can’t be a***d. If it goes OBE, CBE then I am not turning up. Straight to knighthood.’

While the Rock DJ hitmaker impressed his legions of fans with his nude portrait, which saw him sit upon a majestic blue podium, he let slip that his physique was toned up with the handy help of photoshop.

He told The Sun: ‘It’s amazing what they can do with computers now. The cover wasn’t my idea but, when it was put to me, I was well up for it.’

XXV, Robbie’s 13th studio album, will introduce newly-orchestrated versions of greatest hits from his 25-year career, including Angels, Millennium and No Regrets.

Set for a September 9 release, new tracks Lost, Disco Symphony, More Than This and The World And Her Mother will also feature.

It comes after Robbie insisted he is still a huge fan of Liam and Noel Gallagher despite Noel previously calling him ‘the fat dancer from Take That’.

The former boyband star played Stoke-on-Trent’s Vale Park stadium at the weekend, where he surprised the crowd with a rendition of the Britpop legends Oasis’ 1996 mega-hit Don’t Look Back in Anger at his homecoming concert

The Candy hitmaker – who also performed Take That’s Could It Be Magic and Do What U Like – reportedly told the crowd he was forced to leave his boyband after ‘going to Glastonbury and hanging out with the Gallagher brothers’.

Despite former Oasis guitarist Noel once dubbing Robbie ‘the fat one in Take That’, the Supreme singer hung out with ex-frontman Liam Gallagher at the world-famous music festival in 1995, shortly before departing the Back for Good band.

They have bickered for years, with Robbie famously challenging Liam to a fight at the 2000 BRIT Awards.

However, Noel recently appeared to pay Robbie a backhanded compliment when he said he wishes he’d penned 1997’s Angels, as he compared it to the Wonderwall hitmakers.

Speaking on The Matt Morgan Podcast, the 55-year-old rocker said: ‘I’ve heard it. And thought, “I wish I’d written that.” Angels is Oasis by numbers.

‘Add a f****** electric guitar on it and it would be.’

However, despite any criticism, or backhanded comments from the Gallagher brothers, Robbie insists he is still a fan of the band, saying, according to The Sun: ‘Well, that’s as complimentary as it’s ever going to get. That’s high praise indeed, so I’ll take that.

‘I am a big Oasis fan. Nostalgia still pays. I am still that man but sober, 22-years-old in my head and a massive fan of Oasis.

‘No matter what has been said or what has been done, I still dig the band.’
