I’m shocked that Firefly, a restaurant in Manchester, will only let diners reserve a table of six or more if it is “all female or a mixed group”, as a man discovered when he tried to book for himself and some male friends.

Baffling. Not the sexism, the logic. Is it because they fear six men would be too rowdy and shouty? Because if so, I have news for them. Groups of women are far more whoopy and shrieky than groups of men.
