WEST PALM BEACH — Kenny Valle-Parra told Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office investigators he was in Broward County on the morning that shots were fired in a Lake Worth Beach neighborhood in December 2020, killing one man and wounding another.

But evidence showed the Broward County man was in Lake Worth Beach when 51-year-old Rigaberto Diaz-Mazariegos died and Tomas Domingo-Gonzalez was wounded in the shooting on the 100 block of North E Street, authorities said.

On June 9, a jury determined that there was sufficient evidence to find Valle-Parra, 21, guilty of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder. It also found Valle-Parra guilty of discharging a firearm from a vehicle.
