Draymond Green’s wife, Warriors teammates, coach upset about ‘disgusting’ Boston chants

Boston Celtics fans rode Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green early and often during their team’s Game 3 win Wednesday night, booing him every time he touched the ball and frequently chanting “F–K YOU DRAYMOND.”

The latter particularly bothered Warriors head coach Steve Kerr and Green’s teammate Klay Thompson, who both sarcastically huffed that the chants were “classy.” 

“Dropping F-bombs with children in the crowd,” Thompson said. “Real classy. Good job, Boston.”

Green’s wife, actress Hazel Renee, who has possibly never seen her husband’s behavior on or off a basketball court, seemed genuinely wounded by the chants.

“Tough loss tonight BUT in NO WAY, shape or form should fans be allowed to chant obscenities at players!” she wrote in an Instagram story. “The NBA has the audacity to have a whole code of conduct card at every seat about fans and their behavior and how they could be ejected….but a whole crowd/section/numerous people get to chant F**K YOU DRAYMOND or call him a B**** or MF?!

“Warriors fans would NEVER!! My kids were at the game tonight hearing that mess!” 

Green himself, perhaps aware that he says far worse things to NBA players on a nightly basis, said “They did what I expected,” while the golf-loving Steph Curry called the chants “par for the course” — which were both accurate. Chants like the ones echoing through TD Garden Wednesday were nothing unusual for a major sports arena, especially during a playoff game.

Meanwhile the profanity Green’s children were exposed to in the arena, also extended to the post-game press conference: Green said he played “like s–t” next to his six-year-old, who was seated with him at the podium.
