Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell said Scott Morrison has “overstayed his welcome” at Kirribilli House – and it’s been almost two weeks since losing the election.
Former prime minister Scott Morrison is yet to move out of his Kirribilli House despite losing the election nearly two weeks ago.
The former liberal leader is still living at the heritage-listed mansion 11 days after the May 21 election, with a spokesperson confirming he had been given two weeks to move out.
“(He’s) in the process of moving out,” his spokesperson told NCA Newswire.
“There’s two weeks you have to move out. That’s protocol, so there’s no delay.”

Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell said Mr Morrison has “overstayed his welcome” at Kirribilli House, which is the secondary official residence to the Prime Minister.
“I think this would be a record, ten days still in Kirribilli House,” Mr Clennell told The Afternoon Agenda on Wednesday.
“I imagine Scott Morrison will move out in the next day or two, but I would imagine a week is enough when you’ve been deposed as Prime Minister.
“I hope he’s enjoying the views.”
Mr Morrison is closing in on the record amount of time spent at Kirribilli House after losing the election.
Former prime minister John Howard overstayed 16 days in 2007.
Mr Morrison last week ordered removalists to pack up his belongings at The Lodge in Canberra – the official residence for the prime minister of Australia.
A bright orange removalist truck was filmed driving through the gates of the historic building on Thursday afternoon, clearing the way for Mr Albanese.
Mr Morrison, who spent a majority of his time at Kirribilli House, was forced to undergo two weeks of isolation at The Lodge where he returned from a trip to the United States.
Former treasurer Josh Frydenberg temporarily moved into the building with Mr Morrison after the ACT went into lockdown in October 2021.
