Dutton will ‘surprise a lot of people’ as Liberal leader: Chris Kenny

Liberal leader Peter Dutton belongs to the “Tony Abbott school of politics” that relishes the battleground, says Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“The most significant point about Dutton’s leadership, not just on climate, but more broadly, is that he undoubtedly will differentiate the Liberal Party from Labor,” Mr Kenny said.

Mr Kenny said the former Defence Minister would “surprise a lot of people” during his leadership.

“He is a conviction politician,” Mr Kenny said.

“And conviction politicians don’t have to be popular, just effective.”
