Nuggets 3-Pointers: Michael Porter Jr. got the last word in Game 5. And it spoke volumes.

1. Actions speak louder than words, MPJ. Big shot, kid. Big. Freaking. Shot. After being held scoreless for the game’s first 46 minutes, Michael Porter Jr. drained one of the biggest shots of the Nuggets’ season — a 3-pointer with 1:11 left that gave Denver a 105-100 lead in a must-win Game 5. MPJ accounted for four of the Nuggets’ final six points, all at the free-throw line, and netted all seven of his points in the contest’s last two minutes.

2.  Especially words demanding the ball. You wondered all day how the Nuggets vets would respond to MPJ’s pointed comments — translation: get me the ball — after Game 4. The awkward exchanges between the Denver rookie and his teammates were brought out into the open via comments from TNT sideline reporter Jared Greenberg, who hinted that Nuggets veterans weren’t amused. The cold shoulder showed on the court too: Through 45 minutes, Porter had played just 20 minutes with zero points.

3. Just call ‘em the Cardiac Kids. With Friday’s win, the Nuggets are now 4-0 this postseason when facing a win-or-go-home scenario. Denver was down 3-1 to Utah in the first round before winning three straight to close out that series, becoming the first Nuggets team to ever rally from 3-1 down in the postseason to advance. Could we be staring at even more history after this weekend?
