Celtic goal hero Jota is keeping his mind firmly trained on present matters on the park rather than his closely-guarded future.

And he insists “bureaucracy” can wait until the dust has settled on the Premiership season after his late goal sealed another massive away win at Ross County and took the Hoops one step closer to the title.

Kyogo finally made his first start since Boxing Day and opened the scoring with a tremendous first-half header.

And though Malky Mackay’s Staggies came into the game it was Jota who wrapped up the three points when he tapped home on the rebound after Giorgos Giakoumakis hit the bar.

Fans are anxious to know if Ange Postecoglou will trigger a permanent transfer for the on-loan Benfica man.

But asked on Sky Sports if he had given much thought towards his future, Jota said: “No, not a chance. I’m just enjoying it day by day and it’s been a terrific season for me.

“I’m just enjoying getting to know the people around, be a better person, be a better football player.

“I’m learning every day with really quality people so that’s what I’m doing, I don’t have to talk about that.

“I just want to enjoy and give everything for this shirt.

“Of course, as football players we need to keep our minds on the pitch, that’s all that matters.

“Bureaucratic things are for other times, so let me just play football and enjoy it.”

A third derby in less than a month is up next with Celtic still six points clear of Rangers with four games to go and given a 19-goal advantage it could be a de facto title decider at Parkhead.

Jota can’t wait as he added: “It’s been a terrific fight against them so these are the games we want to play, these are the games we work all the years for.

“It will be another good fight, for sure.”
