The Windy City have themselves a new point guard.

As soon as NBA free agency opened, pen was put to paper for Lonzo Ball.

Reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic, Lonzo Ball agreed to a four-year, $85 million deal with the Chicago Bulls.

Soon after the signing was announced, Charania reported the deal would be a sign-and-trade with the Bulls sending Tomas Satoransky, Garrett Temple, and a second-round pick to the Pelicans for Ball.

The Pelicans have long been rumored to not be interested in matching an offer sheet for Ball so working out a sign-and-trade was always the best bet for New Orleans to not lose an asset in Ball for nothing in return.

For the Bulls, they now have a backcourt pairing of Lonzo Ball and Zach LaVine, which provides an abundance of shooting and for Ball, a lead guard who can facilitate and get LaVine open looks.
