Raptors sweep for first time in franchise history and, of course, there were Drake tweets

Raptors #Raptors

The Raptors were born way back in 1995. In those 25 years of basketball, the team had made the postseason just 11 times prior to this year. Of course, you can’t forget that last year the Raptors reached the mountaintop in the NBA, capturing the franchise’s first championship.

But here’s the funny thing: In those 11 postseasons, 18 series total and eight that were won, the Raptors had never swept an opponent. They’d been swept four times (their first playoff series in 2000 was a three-game sweep by the Knicks), but had never gone four-and-done against a team.

Until now. On Sunday, Toronto capped off a sweep of the Nets with a 28-point win in Game 4 of their first-round series.

The tweets — and Drake pics — in response were out in full force.
