The NHL welcomed the Seattle Kraken to their family last season as the newest expansion team. The newest addition to the league’s Western Conference held its expansion draft on Wednesday, hoping to acquire some talented players as the foundation for their team.
Seattle-native and Grammy-winning music artist Macklemore showed up to the expansion draft to support his hometown’s hockey team. However, it was the rapper’s outfit that was getting more attention than the Kraken’s picks.
Macklemore is known for his music, and now he might be known for his questionable fashion sense after Wednesday night. The artist appeared at the Kraken’s expansion draft wearing a team polo, shades, and Gucci fedora hat. Unfortunately, the ensemble wasn’t the best looking, and people on social media had plenty to say about it.
People said he looked like a cruise ship director, famous filmmaker John Waters, and someone even claimed that he looks like Seattle’s version of Pitbull. It’s fair to say that not many were impressed by Macklemore’s attire at the NHL expansion draft. Maybe a trip to the thrift store will help him find something that appeals to the masses better.
