‘It’s always #HotGirlSummer’: Dolly Parton dresses up as a Playboy bunny for husband’s birthday

Dolly #Dolly

Dolly Parton received her first round of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine after donating $1 million to help fund their development. Storyful

Dolly Parton sent the social media world into an ecstatic spiral Tuesday when the country superstar dressed up like an original Playboy bunny (ears, bow tie and all) to wish her hubby a happy birthday.

“It’s always #HotGirlSummer for my husband, Carl, 💝 Happy birthday my love!” the 75-year-old icon tweeted, donned in a sexy black bustier, black gloves, a white and pink bow tie and bunny ears.

“You’re probably wondering why I’m dressed like this … well it’s for my husband’s birthday,” Parton said in the video. “Remember sometime back I said I was going to pose on the Playboy magazine when I was 75? Well I’m 75 and they don’t have a magazine anymore.”

Parton and husband Carl Thomas Dean have been married since 1966.

Parton added that she and her husband have “always loved” the original Playboy covers.

“So I was trying to think of something to do to make him happy. He still thinks I’m a hot chick after 57 years and I’m not going to try and talk him out of that,” Parton said. “And I hope he agrees. What do you think?”

In October 1978, Parton became the first country singer to pose for Playboy at age 32. Now, for her husband’s birthday, Parton did “a little photo shoot in this little outfit” and recreated the iconic cover of the “old new Dolly.”

Parton previously spoke about wanting to pose again for the outlet, which went completely digital in March 2020. “I thought it would be such a hoot if they’ll go for it,” Parton said at the time.

The country singer said in the Tuesday video she surprised her hubs with the cover and sang him happy birthday.

Of course, people on social media couldn’t get enough of Parton’s Playboy cover recreation.

“Carl is one lucky man to get this for his birthday. You DID that, Dolly,” Vilissa Thompson tweeted.

“I. Love. This. Woman.” politician Joe Walsh tweeted.

“This wins Twitter today,” Hillary Lake wrote on Twitter.

Jessica Reyes tweeted, “We do not deserve @DollyParton. This is the BEST.”

“I would give @DollyParton a kidney. She’s the ultimate … Either way, she’s the best. #dollyparton,” wrote @bravo_babe on Twitter.

Parton, who grew up in Tennessee, has been nominated for a Grammy 50 times and taken home 10 awards. Also an actress, Parton’s been nominated for two Oscars, three Emmys and a Tony. She runs an entertainment empire, the Dollywood Company, that employs thousands.

Parton, one of USA TODAY’s Women of the Century, donated $1 million to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville last April to help fund research to fight the coronavirus. In November, news broke that her donation was used, in part, to fund Moderna’s vaccine against COVID-19.
