Mets’ James McCann: Resting Sunday afternoon

McCann is not in the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Pirates.

The 31-year-old has gone 0-for-7 with a walk in two games after the All-Star break and is hitting .242 with just one RBI since the start of July. Tomas Nido will catch and bat eighth as the Mets close out their series in Pittsburgh.
