Bayern Munich Respond To Liverpool Over Kinglsey Coman Bid

After Liverpool submitted a £30 million bid for French winger Kinglsley Coman the Bundesliga side have responded and given their answer.

Liverpool have been linked with what seems like every player under the sun.

The list is tough to keep up with as it continues to grow each passing day.

In addition the summer window being officially open, the Reds are being linked to more players due to the international tournaments, 2020 European Championships and 2021 Copa America, that are currently going on.

While Jurgen Klopp’s side has been linked to a large number of players thanks to the European Championships, the same tournament is making it difficult to finish transfers.

Although football clubs will want to finalise their squad sooner rather than later, international managers are notoriously not keen on letting their players handle business during tournaments.

Some managers go as far as blocking talks or medicals from taking place which means that any transfer involving players at the European Championships or Copa America has been put on pause.

The tournaments, however, do not stop clubs from negotiating with agents and fellow clubs.

This happens to be the case as the Reds have lodged a formal bid for one of the 2020 European Championship’s stars.

According to reports, Liverpool have submitted a £30 million bid for Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Coman.

The French winger is currently with his national side at the 2020 European Championships where he has featured just once thus far.

While a transfer may be difficult, the Reds are still showing serious interest.

Bayern Munich have now responded to the £30 million bid and have told Liverpool that they must up their offer if they want to sign Coman.

La Gazzetta dello Sport say the Bundesliga giants have slapped a £42 million price tag on the French Winger.

Although Bayern have told Jurgen Klopp’s side that they want more money, the Reds are planning on remaining ‘very firm’ on their offer.

While this could be a negotiating tactic, it seems at the moment that Liverpool will not be upping their bid for the Frenchman.
