Men handle personal dispute in roadway with one struck by car: Mayfield Police Blotter

Assault: SOM Center Road
Officers responded June 17 to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the roadway. Upon investigation, they learned two vehicles were involved and driven by men that were known to each other. One man struck the other man’s vehicle with his and then hit the man outside of the vehicle while he was backing up to leave the area.
Officers contacted the suspect, a 40-year-old Hudson man, and he explained that the other man has a history of threatening him and assaulting his 16-year-old daughter. He and his lawyer later responded to the station, where he was arrested for felonious assault.
The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Disturbance: Wilson Mills Road
An attorney reported June 19 that a client’s mother barged into his office and caused a disturbance while he was meeting with the client June 19. The Canton woman, 56, left before officers arrived but was contacted and told she could be arrested for trespassing if she returned.
Property damage: Beta Drive
A semi-tractor trailer struck a building while making a delivery at a loading dock June 15. The driver had misjudged the available clearance. There was minor damage caused of an unknown value.
General assistance: Beta Drive
A Hilton Garden Inn employee requested a police escort to her vehicle around 10 p.m. June 15 because there was an unknown car parked next to her car.
Harassing communication: Hickory Hill Drive
The parents of a 14-year-old girl reported June 17 that another girl of the same age was sending their daughter harassing messages after their daughter posted a video of her and a boy. The other girl had seen the video and was believed to be dating the same boy. She told the other girl to stop posting or there would be problems. While officers were taking a report, the parents of the other girl contacted the girl’s parents. They decided they would handle the matter among themselves.
