The Phoenix Suns came into Tuesday night’s Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals knowing they were facing a tough Los Angeles Clippers team.
The game is also being refereed by Scott Foster, which may not be advantageous for the Suns given the history he has with Chris Paul’s teams.
However, given the past between referee Scott Foster and Chris Paul’s teams, the Suns may not have history on their side.
That’s because Paul’s teams — regardless if the Point God plays or not — have lost 11 straight games in which Foster has officiated.
The Suns point guard is out for Tuesday night’s Game 2 due to the NBA’s health and safety protocols.
But that didn’t stop the Valley from noticing Foster’s immediate impact on the night, including a double-technical on Suns’ Jae Crowder and Clippers Marcus Morris in the first quarter.
The Suns led the Clippers 48-47 at halftime.
