Dice Roll does it again

Dice Roll continued his unbeaten run in Australia when he registered a home track double for trainer Nick Ryan at Flemington on Saturday.
The former European horse, who also raced in Hong Kong, made it three wins from three Australian starts and he will now go into the final of the Winter Championship at Flemington in two weeks as the hottest of favourites.
Ryan’s stable representative Toby Lake said: ‘”Gee, I reckon they’ll be flat out beating him in two weeks. He’ll eat up the mile. I know he had the run of the race but he powered to the line.
“He’s done that in all of his three runs (in Melbourne). He comes off the bridle fairly early but his last hundred is always the best. He’ll eat up the mile.”
Dice Roll enjoyed a soft run off the pace for jockey Fred Kersley, who put the horse into the race at just the right time and he hit the line hard to win by three quarters of a length as the $2.15 favourite over Rubisaki ($4.80), with a neck to Odeon ($7) in third place.

Ryan won earlier in the day with Express Pass, who took the Murray Cox Handicap as the $2.80 favourite.
“It’s not often you see a horse have 12 months off, come back and win on debut (resuming) and come up and do it again,” a clearly impressed Kersley said. “Nick has done the right thing by this fellow.
“He’s had a nice time and come back a lovely looking horse. He did a nice piece of work on Tuesday to suggest that he’s back in bigger and better order.”
