Boulder County at a price you can afford: At a Longmont grand opening, see roomy paired homes from the mid-$400s
Price #Price
Wherever KB Home has ventured its paired-home designs around the Denver-Boulder area, they’ve found buyers ready and waiting for their big value on space. Today you can see a grand opening for the newest models of those, in the rarified air of Boulder County, where resale prices are some of the highest in the region.
At Prairie Village, off Highway 66 a mile east of Longmont’s Main Street, that collection was already drawing plenty of interest ahead of this weekend’s opening. Visit today and you’ll find two eye-catching designs, along with a food truck, and base prices from just $428,990—so low that with a few options included you really can have a home-delivered from the mid-$400s, in a county where the median price is now close to $700,000.
That’s proving very attractive in Longmont, where buyers are routinely being beat out for resale homes by others willing to make 60% down payments and to waive their rights to an inspection. “We hear stories of buyers moving into older resales, only to have the washer and the air conditioning give out,” says Randy Carpenter, Division President of KB Home Colorado.
Carpenter says Prairie Village Villas is drawing attention both from buyers and from their Realtors, who have discovered that their clients like the interior spaces of KB Home’s paired designs, but also the low maintenance lifestyle and being able to personalize a home’s features.
“We really spend time with buyers, something they genuinely appreciate,” Carpenter adds. “We show them in detail what their payments will be, and we work to fit their own needs to our floor plans.”
One of those is a Plan 1885—1,885 sq. feet of finished space, with three bedrooms, a main-floor study for working from home, and a nice loft on the bedroom level. It’s from $444,990. Add a basement with a fourth bedroom/bath and an added rec space and the finished size jumps to almost 2,600 sq. feet.
All of these come with a lower-maintenance landscape and a fenced side yard for a barbecue, a garden, or for your labradoodle to explore. Unlike those resales, all show energy/water conservation features certified by a third-party inspector to meet or beat Energy Star and EPA’s WaterSense standards. HOA fees are only $55/month, and Realtors comment on the low property taxes.
If you like what you see, KB Home has three homes on a faster track for delivery with finishes pre-selected; or you can order one with your personal picks. Take I-25 north past E-470 to Highway 66 and head west five miles.
