Twitter explodes after Titans land Julio Jones in trade with Falcons

After months of speculation and rumors, the Tennessee Titans have finally landed the wide receiver fans have been longing for after agreeing to a trade with the Atlanta Falcons for Julio Jones.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that the Titans will be sending the Falcons a 2022 second-round pick, and there will be a swap of 2023 picks, with Atlanta getting Tennessee’s fourth-rounder and Tennessee getting Atlanta’s sixth-rounder.

Tennessee entered this offseason with a need at wide receiver, especially after the departure of Corey Davis in free agency and the release of Adam Humphries.

Up until trading for Jones, the most significant moves made by Tennessee involved the signing of Josh Reynolds and the selection of Dez Fitzpatrick in the 2021 NFL draft.

However, that simply wasn’t enough and the Titans needed to further address the position. Now, with Jones in the mix, the Titans have done that and then some.

Jones, running back Derrick Henry and wide receiver A.J. Brown will make up arguably the best offensive trio in the NFL this coming season and will present an absolute nightmare for opposing defenses, as all require extra attention.

Let’s see how Twitter reacted to the news:
