Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul tale of the tape: Net worth, age, how the two stack up ahead of exhibition

Mayweather #Mayweather

The next major PPV event in boxing is set to commence on Sunday evening in Miami. Retired pound-for-pound legend Floyd Mayweather will make the walk to the ring for an exhibition bout with social media star Logan Paul. The pair of megastars will meet at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, atop a four-bout card set to air live on Showtime PPV.

The bout will not yield an official result for either man as the Florida commission announced that there will be no judges nor an official decision read after the fight. That means that you will be hard pressed to have a sportsbook taking action on the fight. The two will not wear headgear as they mix it up with 10-ounce gloves. Knockouts and knockdowns will be legal and the referee can stop the bout at any moment.

The fight is also something of a battle of the bank accounts. Mayweather famously turned his success in the ring into several years at the top of Forbes’ list of the highest paid athletes in the world, backing up his “Money” nickname with a massive bank roll. Paul, who is an admitted “troll,” recently told Showtime Sports that he has more money than Mayweather, citing the recent purchase of a dinosaur leg fossil.

The two fighters officially stepped on the scale on Saturday night with Paul weighing in at 189.5 pounds, 10 pounds less than he did for his only official professional bout against KSI in November 2019. Mayweather, meanwhile, came in at 155 pounds, which was at the top limits of the weight classes he competed in professionally. This is the heaviest opponent by far that Mayweather has taken on in his career.

“I’ve been here before, I know what it takes,” Mayweather said. “I fought every different style you can possibly fight. Height don’t win fights, weight don’t win fights, fighting wins fights and I can fight.”

Let’s take a look at how Mayweather and Paul match up heading into Sunday’s clash.
