Ottawa police have issued an Amber Alert for a missing 11-month-old girl.
Police say Abby Mathewsie was last seen with her mother at about 1:55 a.m. in the area of Carling Avenue and Pinecrest Road.
Police are treating her disappearance as “suspicious” and issued the Amber Alert at 3:22 a.m.
Police said on Twitter the baby has a feeding tube in her stomach and “cannot be fed regular baby formula and she needs medical attention.”
Abby is Indigenous with short black hair and had a feeding tube attached to her nose. She was wearing a navy blue Montreal Canadiens “onesie” when last seen.
The suspected abductor is a woman in her 70s known as “Miriam”, police said.

Residents of the nearby Larga Baffin — a full-service boarding home for residents of the Baffin region of Nunavut — gathered outside Friday morning.
Some said they’d seen the alleged abductor with the baby and the mother the night before.
“We just saw her holding on to the baby,” said one woman, who gave her name only as Apa.
“We thought she was a social worker. They were even walking together.”
The last they saw her she was walking down to Richmond toward the OC Transpo stop, Apa said.
No one in the group had ever seen the woman before.
“No one even knows where she lived,” Apa said.
