Channel 9’s Martha Sugalski flies with Blue Angels
Channel 9 #Channel9
Channel 9 anchor Martha Sugalski was granted a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience what the Blue Angels pilots do every day and soar to new heights.
Sugalski said she “had the honor” of going up — straight up, actually — with Lt. Julius Bratton on Wednesday afternoon from Orlando-Melbourne International Airport.
The 40-minute flight included some barrel rolls and loops. It took them over Cape Canaveral and the Vehicle Assembly Building at the Kennedy Space Center — all while hitting 7.3 Gs.

“And no, I did not pass out, and I did not need the barf bags,” Sugalski said during Wednesday’s newscast.
The flight took place ahead of the Great Florida Air Show happening this weekend.
