Golf fans rightly loved Phil Mickelson’s honest tweet about failure from two weeks before his PGA win

Phil Mickelson likes to have a lot of fun on social media, with videos about the bombs he hits and tips on how he gets his calves so ripped.

But sometimes he does get serious on there, too, which he did two weeks ago in which he talked about what he’s learned from all the failures in his career and how those failures push him to work harder.

That must be true because on Sunday he became the oldest person to ever win a major title as he held on to win a wild PGA Championship at the famed Ocean Course on Kiawah Island.

This tweet, though, is so good:

I’ve rooted for Phil all my life, but today was especially awesome. So inspirational to see someone who loves what they do, and work to be great at it succeed at the highest level. https://t.co/04H8zc6zka
