Warriors’ Steph Curry completes first-half heat-up with buzzer-beating 3 before halftime vs. Lakers

“I wouldn’t let Steph Curry play one-on-one in this situation,” warned commentator Mike Jackson on the ESPN broadcast as the seconds ticked down in the first half of the Warriors’ play-in game in Los Angeles.
The Lakers, it turns out, heeded the advice and it still wasn’t enough to stop Curry, who navigated away from three defenders to nail a jump shot from deep as the buzzer sounded to extend the Warriors’ lead to 55-42.
From the bench, injured Klay Thompson threw his hands up in disbelief.
Curry started slow but heated up to finish the half with 15 points.
It was a different story for Lakers superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis, who combined for 11 points on 3-of-19 shooting.
The hot hand of Andrew Wiggins, aggressive play of Juan Toscano-Anderson and dominant defense of Draymond Green helped the Warriors take a 13-point lead into halftime.
