Former Bristol Rovers boss Paul Tisdale in the running for two League Two jobs

Tisdale #Tisdale

Bristol Rovers are set for a reunion with former manager Paul Tisdale next season, with the 48-year-old reportedly in the frame for at least two League Two jobs.

Reports suggest Tisdale is in the final three contenders for the Leyton Orient job, while the former Exeter City boss also leads the betting for the vacancy at Swindon Town.

Tisdale endured a short-lived spell at Rovers, winning just three of his 15 league games before being sacked in February.

He was not out of work for long, though, joining Colchester United in an advisory role until the end of this season, which saw him on the touchline with manager Hayden Mullins as the Us avoided relegation.

And Tisdale is set to be back in the hot seat next season. The East London Advertiser reports he is competing with Kenny Jackett and Colin Calderwood for the job at Brisbane Road.

And Tisdale is an even-money favourite for the Swindon vacancy, according to SkyBet, ahead of the likes of Mark Cooper and Robbie Fowler in the odds.

The prospect of Rovers facing Tisdale next season is an intriguing one, given the accusation of “negligence” made by his successor Joey Barton and Tisdale’s subsequent threat of legal action.

Tisdale, however, appeared to draw a line under the matter last week after Rovers removed footage of the press conference in question from their social media channels and website.

Tisdale had also been linked with the England under-21s role in recent weeks, but he appears to have drifted out of contention to replace Aidy Boothroyd.

But he is set for a swift return to management after a forgettable spell with the Gas that will be remembered for a terribly-managed transfer window which saw Rovers fail to steer clear of the iceberg in their path, playing a significant role in their relegation.
