Fired-up Draymond Green drops f-bomb, walks off postgame show after Warriors beat Grizzlies

TV networks have been pretty good about censoring curse words on the floor of fan-less NBA games over the past year, but it’s another thing entirely when dealing with a fired-up Draymond Green at a postgame interview.
Following the Golden State Warriors’ 113-101 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies Sunday, Green was eager to take a question about the Grizzlies attempting to bully the Warriors inside with center Jonas Valanciunas. Green was so eager, in fact, that he cut off NBC Sports’ Kelenna Azubuike mid-question.
“People are talking about, ‘Oh, you guys are so small, Valanciunas is going to take advantage of you guys inside,’ are you guys almost enjoying—”
“I’m a motherf—ing dog,” Green interjected. “Straight like that. I don’t know how else to tell you. People have been going at me for years with centers, they’ve been going at [Kevon Looney] for years, that s— ain’t worked yet, we’re dogs. So keep trying.”
Green then promptly removed his headset and walked off the floor as NBC play-by-play guy Bob Fitzgerald tried to ask a follow-up.
“That is the perfect way to end the interview right there,” Fitzgerald laughed once it became clear Green wasn’t coming back.
Green scored 14 points, grabbed nine rebounds and dished out nine assists in the Warriors’ eighth-seed-clinching win. The Warriors are now on the “winner’s” side of the NBA play-in tournament, and will play one of the Los Angeles Lakers or Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday.
