“Clarkson would be a huge signing for I’m A Celeb bosses and could ensure they win the ratings battle in 2020.”
It may come as no surprise because Jeremy has already named his price for “eating some maggots” on I’m A Celeb.

Jeremy said he would never rule out doing the show as he would only not do it when he had a string of TV jobs lined up.
He said on The Johnathan Ross Show last December: “We all say ‘no’ now because we’ve all got jobs.
“If you’re down the line and somebody said, ‘Here’s a hundred thousand pounds to go and eat some maggots,’ count me in! Yes, I’d go and do it…”
And Vernon has exactly the same spin on it.

But it’s believed this year he’s actually gone for it after reports of being offered £250,000.
The former Family Fortunes star admitted he has turned down the amazing opportunity two or three times in the past because it hasn’t been the right time.
However, the presenter reassured fans he would “never say never” to competing on I’m A Celeb.
He told The Radio Times : “The reason why that story came out, I think, is because I’ve been asked for the last two or three years to do I’m A Celebrity.
“I’ve always turned it down. I think my name must have still been in a notebook and it’s been floated around.
“We’ll see. Never say never. Like I say, I’ve been asked two or three times in the past and it’s not been the right time so I don’t know.”
