Ontario reported only 33 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday and no additional related deaths.

Public health officials tested 21,581 people for the virus on the previous day.

Hospitalizations were also relatively low, with 60 people in hospital, 21 in intensive care and 12 on ventilators.

Health Minister Christine Elliott said the 0.1% increase in daily cases included “routine data clean-up” by Toronto Public Health that removed 21 cases including duplicates.

“With 75 more resolved, we continue to see a persistent decline in the number of active cases in the province,” Elliott tweeted Tuesday morning.

Ontario has now confirmed a total of 40,161 cases of COVID-19 and 2,786 deaths.
