Drama was at an all-time high on Tuesday’s episode of Married At First Sight when Bryce Ruthven sarcastically called Rebecca Zemek a ‘queen’ and planted an unwanted kiss on her cheek.
And you could cut the tension with a knife on Wednesday’s episode when Bryce and his ‘wife’ Melissa Rawson arrived late to the dinner party.
Noticing the silence and pained expressions on the contestants’ faces, viewers flocked to Twitter, with one describing Melissa as a ‘robot’ who follows Bryce around.

‘Melissa is like a robot around Bryce. She’s totally lost herself in this vile toxicity,’ one shared online.
‘Bryce and Melissa’s relationship is really making me feel anxious,’ another said.
‘I think we all know Melissa is petrified of hearing the opinions of the other women on how they think she should kick Bryce to the curb,’ one also posted.

However it wasn’t all negative, with some blaming the producers for the awkward scenes on camera.
‘The experts are responsible for this pairing of Melissa and Bryce,’ one said.
Another added: ‘I’m fully convinced Bryce and Melissa are producer plants. Drama conveniently happening at every group gathering, and there’s no way they got the exclusive guest house on retreat without producer help.’

Tension was at an all-time high as Bryce, 30, and Melissa, 31, arrived at the dinner party, with Rebecca, 27, noticing how the ‘mood had changed already’.
After a brief hello, Melissa kept her distance from the other women, helping herself to a drink.

It wasn’t until dinner was served that Melissa broke her silence, defending her husband and revealing what they don’t see behind the scenes.
‘I haven’t cracked, I have to speak up for him, even though I’m not speaking up for the actions of certain events, I’m just speaking up for us,’ Melissa said.
