Debra Arbec, Leah Hendry nominated for Canadian Screen Awards

Congratulations to CBC Montreal News at Six anchor Debra Arbec and reporter Leah Hendry, who have been nominated for 2021 Canadian Screen Awards in the best local news anchor and best local reporter categories. 

CBC/Radio-Canada and its production partners have received 309 nominations from the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television for the 2021 Canadian Screen Awards, an annual celebration of excellence in film, television and digital media productions. The nominations mark a new record by exceeding last year’s tally of 269.

This year’s awards will take place from May 17-20, as part of a seven-part, genre-based series of presentations streamed from www.academy.ca as well as the Canadian Academy Twitter and YouTube channels. 

The main event, which will feature a “curated selection of prominent awards,” will stream live on May 20 at 8:00 pm ET.
