The Falcon And The Winter Soldier Just Revealed Bucky’s Replacement From The Comics

Bucky #Bucky

Lemar Hoskins spends quite a while dancing around his code name in the episode, but when he finally introduces himself as Battlestar, it’s clear who we’re talking about. The comic book version of the character is an old friend of John Walker, and the pair receive superpowers from a person known as the Power Broker. Hoskins started his super career as a fake antagonist to Walker’s first super identity, the opportunistic Super-Patriot. When Walker eventually became the new Captain America, Hoskins joined him and took the mantle of … Bucky.

Though Falcon and the Winter Soldier has Hoskins operating under his later call sign and without superpowers, it’s perfectly understandable that the Winter Soldier might have just the tiniest bit of a problem with the guy. After all, the show’s version of Battlestar is still essentially Captain America’s best buddy, which can’t possibly sit well with the guy who was the first to hold that particular position.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is streaming now on Disney+.
