Did Marty Jannetty confess to a murder? Former WWF wrestler shares troubling Facebook post

The disturbing, saddening saga of Marty Jannetty continues.

Jannetty, a former WWF wrestler best known for being one half of The Rockers alongside Shawn Michaels, has lived a troubled life for some time. His Facebook page has often been a magnet for controversy and confusion, including an Aug. 5 post that seemed to detail Jannetty confessing to killing a man. In a now-deleted Facebook post, he said he made a man “disappear” in 1973.

(Warning: Post contains NSFW and offensive language.)

The post reads, in its entirety:

I never told no one this, even my brother Geno..cause Geno would’ve killed him, and I didn’t want my brother gone,,hell he’d only recently came home from Viet Name..I was 13, working at Victory lanes bowling alley buying weed from a f— that worked there..and he put his hands on me..he dragged me around to the back of the building..you already know what he was gonna try to do..

That was the very first time I made a man disappear..they never found him..they should looked in the Chattahoochie River..but Winnie(the girl in these pics) I likes you so damn much, probably my favorite..but I promised myself way back then, nobody would ever hurt me again..that includes you..I loved you but you hurt me with your f—in Jamaican jealousy..you can go your own way, I don’t need you..

There is cause for skepticism about the post. Georgia records indicate no missing persons in Jannetty’s timeframe, and his wording is suspect as well, including saying that it was the “very first time” he “made a man disappear.” Jannetty also indicates that he was 13 at the time, which makes for interesting discussion, too.

In further posts, Jannetty seems to indicate that he and his significant other (Winnie) have had a falling out, and doubled-down on the story. Jannetty has long struggled with drug and alcohol abuse.

Jannetty’s Facebook page has also long been a source of controversy, including 2018 posts that seem to indicate he wanted to have carnal relations with his daughter. Jannetty blamed hackers for the posts and maintains he had no sexual interest in his daughter.

Jannetty was famously thrown through the Barber Shop window in the early ’90s, signifying the end of The Rockers and the rise of Shawn Michaels.
