It’s the romance that we’ve seen at the World Cup as Australia’s squad made its way through the tournament in its home country.
Since 2019, Kristie Mewis from the USWNT and Sam Kerr from Australia’s national soccer team have been dating, and it’s been wonderful to see.
They spent time together in quarantine in 2020, and in 2021, a now-famous photo of Mewis comforting Kerr on the field after the USWNT beat Australia in the Olympic semifinals went viral.
