The League of Maryland Horsemen’s 3rd annual ride for St. Patrick’s Day in Downtown Sykesville on their way to E.W. Beck’s Restaurant & Pub for lunch. Twenty-seven horsemen made the ride from their horse boarding stable in Marriottsville decked out in green to celebrate. The League of Maryland Horsemen was founded on June 21,1950. In 18 months, the League grew from a mere handful of horse lovers to a membership of almost one hundred. Today the member-owned, horse enthusiast social club consists of over 700 members and borders 1600 acres of the Patapsco State Park.
