The Philadelphia 76ers had a chance to reclaim sole possession of the top spot in the East on Monday if they could knock off the Dallas Mavericks on the road. Led by their superstar big man, they were able to get the job done and put a cherry on top of their 4-game road trip.
Joel Embiid was absolutely terrific all night long and he dropped 36 points on 10-for-17 shooting with seven rebounds in a 113-95 win over the Mavs to finish the trip at 3-1. On top of being so efficient, Embiid shot 14-for-15 from the foul line as he lived there all night long.
In support of Embiid’s big game, Furkan Korkmaz added 20 points, Tobias Harris had 10 points, Ben Simmons had eight, seven assists, and six rebounds, Shake Milton had 10 and five assists, and Seth Curry had eight.
