3 observations: Joel Embiid carries shorthanded Sixers past Heat

The Philadelphia 76ers got a little healthier on Tuesday night as they welcomed back Ben Simmons to the lineup after he missed two games with a knee issue and the team received an absolutely dominant effort from Joel Embiid to halt a 3-game losing skid.
Embiid went off in the second half and he finished with a ridiculous 45 points and 16 rebounds to lead the team to a 137-134 over the shorthanded Miami Heat in overtime to overcome a big night from Miami’s Tyler Herro. Danny Green had a big night as he knocked down a career-high in triples with nine while scoring 29 points, Scott added 16 points, and Simmons had 12 assists in his return to the lineup.
