Succession leads the nominations for the 2022 Emmy Awards, which were announced Tuesday morning.
HBO’s drama series landed a total of 25 noms, followed by Apple’s Ted Lasso and HBO’s The White Lotus, which each earned 20.
Other series with double-digit noms include Hacks (17), Only Murders in the Building (17), Euphoria (16), Barry (14), Dopesick (14), Severance (14), Squid Game (14), Ozark (13), Stranger Things (13), The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (12) and Pam & Tommy (10).
Overall, HBO led all nominations by platform, with a total of 108 noms, edging out Netflix, which earned 105.
Among the more notable snubs were Yellowstone, which failed to earn a single nom, Stranger Things’ Sadie Sink and Only Murders in the Building’s Selena Gomez, both of whom were left out of the acting races.
JB Smoove and Melissa Fumero announced who will be competing for some of TV’s highest honors during a virtual ceremony.
The 2022 Emmy Awards are set to air live coast-to-coast at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Monday, Sept. 12, on NBC. The show will also stream live on Peacock.
The ceremony typically airs on a Sunday, except in years when NBC has broadcast rights, as the network airs NFL games on Sunday nights. The Emmys broadcast rotates among ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC. When NBC last aired the Emmys, four years ago, the awards show also took place on a Monday.
Prior to the main ceremony on NBC, the Creative Arts Emmys will take place over two nights, on Saturday, Sept. 3, and Sunday, Sept. 4. An edited version of the Creative Arts Emmys will air at 8 p.m. on Sept. 10 on FXX.
