🦁 Kyle Walker nets first international goal to end England’s longest wait | OneFootball

It took Kyle Walker until his 77th England cap to score his first senior international goal … but good things come to those who wait.

England took on Ukraine in a Euro 2024 qualifier on Saturday and it was Arsenal’s Oleksandr Zinchenko who gave the hosts a surprise lead in the first half.

But it wasn’t long before Zinchenko’s former Manchester City team-mate Walker levelled for England when he latched onto an inch-perfect Harry Kane pass and finished well.

And his strike ended the longest wait for a first international goal from any England player in history.

He may be 33 but it just goes to show that you’re never too old to open an account.
