Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has confirmed Luke Shaw is fit and available for his side’s trip to Everton on Sunday.
The England left-back had been out with a muscle injury since August but after returning to training over the international break, he could now feature at Goodison Park.
Speaking to the press, Ten Hag said: “Luke Shaw will be available, he will be in the squad. You can mention many things – physical, technical ability, it’s clear. Long time this season we didn’t have a left full-back. Very happy he is back. He will help us be more stable.”
Elsewhere, it is a mixed bag with United’s injury issues showing no sign of slowing down. Ten Hag revealed that André Onana is fit after his abdominal injury while away with Cameroon while Rasmus Højlund ‘is is still a close finish, he is training, outside, making very good steps but we have to wait until tomorrow, then we will make a final decision’.
Jonny Evans and Christian Eriksen will both miss the trip to Merseyside, as well as longer-term absentees in Casemiro, Lisandro Martínez and Tyrell Malacia.
United will be looking for their fifth win in six league games and to move closer to the top four with a win against Sean Dyche’s men.
